Dr. Stephanie Watts' Lab does it all
$3.5 million dollars in grant funding... the American Physiological Society's 2008 Bowditch Memorial Award...a new online graduate course... an unending stream of new PhD students in the lab... not to mention raising a family. One has to wonder, "Is there anything this researcher can't do?"

Dr. Stephanie Watts helps students learn to love science as part of her research
team. She is pictured here (center) in 4th Floor
Life
Sciences Building lab with her
students and technicians, several who originate from around the world and several
who are Interdisciplinary students and at least one pursuing a dual MD-PhD. Dr. Watts is exceptional in her ability to get students involved in the discovery process, something the entire Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology is renowned for. Her lab was highlighted this week in MSU Today (see on page 14 of the Winter 2008 edition).
