A Post-Doctoral Research Associate position is available in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology to undertake studies investigating the mechanisms of immune cell polarization/function and downstream effects on immune response. Many of the studies will aim to determine the role of stress-activated transcription factors in immune cell polarization. The focus will be to perform and coordinate laboratory experiments involving whole animal and cell-based immunology studies. Conduct laboratory assays using biochemistry, molecular biology and immunology methods. Assist in planning studies as well as in data collection and analysis. Train and supervise students and other laboratory staff in the laboratory.
Fixed Term Academic Staff, Minimum Requirements: A PhD in Immunology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or related field. Good command of written and spoken English, and a team- oriented approach to science is required. Productivity will be measured by peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals.
