Graduate Doctoral Program
The flagship of our educational activities is the program leading to the doctoral degree in pharmacology and toxicology. In existence since 1966, we are proud that our PhD program has produced leaders in academia, industry and government.
Dual Major Graduate Program in Toxicology at MSU
Students can also enter the joint Pharmacology & Toxicology/Environmental Toxicology graduate program. Students interested in toxicology graduate education and research related to the harmful health effects of environmental or other chemicals, can enroll in this multidisciplinary dual-major graduate program in Environmental and Integrative Toxicological Sciences (EITS).
Online MS Programs
Our innovative online programs have grown rapidly, providing quality education to hundreds of students. The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology offers two outstanding, online, master’s degree programs. An online graduate certificate program in Safety Pharmacology is also available.
Undergraduate Courses / Minor
Our undergraduate courses attract students majoring in diverse disciplines. Many students taking these courses are considering careers in biomedical sciences including human medicine (physicians, nurses, physical therapists, athletic trainers etc) and veterinary medicine, or research in academia, government and industry.
