Pharmacology - the science of the uses and actions of drugs - and Toxicology - the science of the adverse effects of chemicals - are important disciplines in consideration of the health of humans and other animals.
A variety of courses on topics within Pharmacology and Toxicology are offered to MSU students. These courses range from “survey” courses in which and the effects and uses of a broad selection of drug classes are covered to more specialized courses which are focused on specific topics such as drug abuse, dug safety, neuropharmacology, and tropical medicine.
Students may choose to complete only one or two courses or to complete requirements for the Minor in Pharmacology and Toxicology.
