Topic: “Corporate and Foundation Funding Opportunities for Drug Discovery"
Date: Friday, October 6th, 2017
Place: B448 Life Science Bldg
The alarming lack of new drugs entering the development pipeline has mobilized companies and foundations to launch new partnerships, such as "open innovation" programs to capture and translate the prolific flow of basic science discoveries, and drug "repurposing" programs to identify new uses for drugs that were shelved when they failed to serve their original purpose. This seminar will provide an overview on funding opportunities in this space and how researchers can work with the corporate and foundation relations team to successfully cultivate partnerships.
