We examine the harmful effects of various chemical, biological and physical agents on living organisms.

One focus is on human health-oriented research on risks from exposure to chemicals that are commonly found in Superfund hazardous waste sites such as the halogenated aromatic hydrocarbon family. Other research areas include air pollutants and environmentally persistent contaminants such as methyl mercury, and bisphenol A.
