Created in 2012 with the simple idea of doing some good in the world., Giving Tuiesday is set this year for Dec. 3 and the MSU Department of Pharmacology and Toxcology could use your financial support.
Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day tha encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity
Join the movement and give, whether it’s some of your time, a donation, or the power of your voice in your local community.
Here is a message from PhmTox Department Chairperson Dr. Anne Dorrance:
"I was a PhD student in a lab with very little money, so I know what it is like to be afraid to ask for the supplies you need or the money to attend a conference. I spent lots of time as a student begging companies to send me free samples so that I could complete my studies. I never want a Pharm Tox PhD student to feel like that. Therefore, I would like to ask for your help to rebuild our student support funds; no donation is too small. These funds will be used to support students with bridge funding when their PIs are between grants, travel to conferences, and one-time requests for highly specialized supplies."
Please make your donation to "Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology Student Support" and thank you.
