MSU Flow Cytometry Core Facility

The mission of the MSU Flow Cytometry Core is to provide investigators with access to state-of-the-art cell sorting and analytical flow cytometry services, as well as training and experimental consultation. Instrumentation available in the Core Facility include a Cytek Aurora spectral cytometer, an Attune CytPix imaging cytometer, Yokogawa CQ1, a high content confocal microscope, cell sorters - SONY MA900 and BD FACS Aria Iiu, and Luminex 200, a diagnostic instrument that enables bead-based multiplex analysis of multiple analytes simultaneously in single low-volume samples.

Our team has extensive experience mentoring academic and industry Scientists in flow cytometry principles, including evaluating delivery efficacy, mechanisms of uptake, intracellular trafficking pathways, and the generation of stable cell lines. We also bring a wealth of knowledge relating to nanoparticle design and gene delivery, as well as cell sorting, data analysis, and data interpretation.
