How to apply

Start an application at: https://explore.msu.edu/apply/

Program Materials and Application Deadlines:

  • Fall Semester: June 1
  • Summer Semester: February 1
  • Spring Semester: October 1

Required application materials:

  • Original transcripts delivered from your degree-granting institution directly to MSU (cannot go through applicant)
  • Three letters of recommendation from academic or professional references. Letters cannot be personal references provided by friends or family members.
  • A 1-2 page statement describing your academic and professional interests, academic background, and reasons for applying.
  • Resume or Curriculum Vitae
  • International applicants must also provide:
    • Original transcripts, if not in English.
    • A certified copy of diploma or degree certificate, if not in English.
    • A course-by-course academic credentialing report (forwarded to our academic office)
    • A TOEFL for students whose first language is not English (contact our office for information on waivers)

GRE scores are not required, but you may submit a score if you have taken it.

Need an Override?

Fill out the override request form. Our advisors will then determine if an override can be granted and offer further instructions for enrollment.
