Computational Biology/Genomics/ Imaging

The Computational, Genomics & Imaging focus area studies how we can more effectively analyze and predict how different drugs will impact biological systems, as well as provide a window into how genetic differences in human populations might affect responses to drugs.

With computational pharmacology, we are making discoveries that can identify and avoid adverse side effects and improve the clinical use of drugs by better understanding their disposition. Our genomic research goes on to help develop safe and effective medications that can be prescribed based on a person's genetic makeup, precision medicine. Imaging across scales can help to understand the molecular, cellular and tissue level effects of drugs and their effects.
