After earning her Ph.D. at MSU, she is now doing her post-doctoral work at the NIH Center for Advancing Translational Sciences and was recently highlighted for her research in an NIH publication.

Giving Tuesday is Dec. 3 and the event, created in 2012, is now a worldwide event that unleashes the power of generosity.

Looking for entrance into medical school, Daryl Traylor decided to enroll at MSU for an online Master's degree in Pharmacology. He's now in his second year of medical school and knows MSU played a key role.

The goal of the Lansing-based Aitch Foundation fellowship is to study, and perhaps inhibit, a liver enzyme that has been shown to help cancer cells resist chemotherapy. "We want to provide patients with alternatives," she said.

The Collaborative Online International Learning Faculty Fellows Program strives to make global learning more accessible to MSU students as well as a students who are part of the Alliance for African Partnership.

Long interested in research and science, Amanda Jurgelewicz earned her Ph.D. at MSU and is continuing her work at the EPA's Center for Computational Toxicology and Exposure. "This research is important, and I’d like to continue it as long as I can," she said.

Derek Decloux wanted a deeper understanding of how drugs, especially anesthetics, impacted dental patients and MSU's online pharmacology and toxicology master's program proved to be a perfect fit for him. "It has opened opportunities for me," he said.
